Disco Down

The 5th Tiny Steps night of celebration, lovely acoustic shows and ground breaking DJ Sets.

The doors open at 7:00pm with Scott warming the stage in preparation for Liverpool's favourite son, John Power.

Having first made his mark on the UK pop scene in the late '80s and early '90s with the renowned Liverpudlian quartet The La's, John then went on to form a new group called Cast and the timing of band's emergence was perfect, chiming with the mid-1990s rise of Britpop and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Oasis, Stone Roses and Blur.
Cast's first two LPs, All Change and '97's Mother Nature Calls both sold over 1,000,000 copies so there is no doubt, John has a amazing back catalogue and we can't wait for him to open the night for us.

We are then ridiculously excited to announce that fresh from their notorious Shedcember tour, sold out gigs across the UK, selling out 2 nights at Manchester Warehouse in December and playing the Neighbourhood festival in May with Ian Brown, An acoustic set by Shed Seven founding members Rick Witter and Paul Banks.

Expect all of their classic anthems such as Disco Down, Going for Gold, Chasing Rainbows and Getting Better, plus songs from their acclaimed newest album, Instant Pleasures.

Combining hypnotic pop with lyrics that make you call your mum the next morning, The Shed Seven boys promise a cracking set.

Rick is a massive supporter for us and will no doubt be on top form as he always is.

Finally and last but ultimately not least... our supporter and friend, Clint Boon will DJ for us to end the night.

Everyone's favourite DJ has carved up a nice little playlist for his Boon Army to get you in the mood - Please don't forget your dancing shoes.

They can't wait to have the legend himself back at Winnington Rec!

The longest serving DJ in Manchester, Inspiral Carpets key player and Radio XS DJ brings the Brit, Indie and Dance classics and knows exactly how to close the night.

The night is limited to 400 people and each of the previous nights we have put on have sold out so please purchase quickly if you wish to attend.

Entrance is strictly by ticket only with all ticket proceeds going to Tiny Steps.
