Northampton celebrates the launch of a new opera company, the Northampton Opera Group, with a grand opera gala concert in the operatic opulence of the Royal auditorium.

International pianist and conductor Phillip Thomas leads a cast of local and international singers in a delicious medley of irresistible operatic favourites. Soprano Alison Roddy, tenor Bonaventura Bottone and baritone Philip Smith are joined by a hand-picked local chorus and rising young stars from the county.
