Creative Writing Workshop

Many animals played their part during the war, as a mascot, messenger or transporting goods and people. One of the local heroes is Peter the Cat that who went to France and lived in the trenches during WWI.

Working with professional writer Sheree Mack and taking inspiration from what you will know about Peter the Cat, you will imaginatively explore the conditions of the trenches, the fighting and the homesickness for the young soldiers and animals who took part in the First World War.

Working across the generations of participants, they hope to produce pieces of creative writing to share within the group and beyond the workshop.

Suitable for adults and young people aged 12 and over.
