James Bay is an artist and songwriter from Hitchin. Only in his early twenties, he has already grasped a mature gravelled vocal. His influences include Corrine Bailey Rae, Bill Withers, Adele and James Taylor. Relying on his creative strengths as a guitarist and songwriter, Bay weaves together lyrical guitar work with pop-hook melodies, for a fresh take on the Rock/Pop genre. He’s been called “a folksier Ed Sheeran”, but also has a lot in common with fellow acoustic songwriter George Ezra.

Leeds University alumni, international chart toppers Sigma met while balancing raving and studying, working in record shops and promoting events to top up their student loans. While some don their artist mantle when the occasion demands it, Cameron and Joe have made Sigma their 'life' since graduation. Early releases with Hospital Records, Viper, Bingo and DJ Fresh's Breakbeat Kaos, as well as their own Life Recordings, quickly marked them out as producers to watch, while remixes for Eric Prydz, Ellie Goulding, Stylo G and Sway began to take them to a wider audience. The world, it seems, is now their oyster.

North London's Wolf Alice take their name from a book by Angela Carter. Originally a solo project for frontwoman Ellie Roswell, it soon expanded into a full four-piece band with Joff Oddie (guitar, vocals), Theo Ellis (bass) and Joel Amey (drums, vocals). Eloquently described by Clash Magazine as ‘the lovechild of folk and grunge’, Wolf Alice's off-kilter sound has seen folky vocals combine with the alt-rock of 90's bands like Hole and Elastica.

'Perfectly formed pop' (Bugbear). A band who manage to do something new with the rock sound. Their music is unusual and boundary pushing, but luckily they have the technical prowess to pull it off, sometimes mastering kitchen utensils as well as more standard instruments. The Syd Barrett-worshiping indie outfit formed in the early '90s when the group's shock-headed frontman, Blaine Harrison, was only 12. The band was initially called the Misery Jets, in honor of the Heathrow-bound jets that habitually roared over their native Eel Pie Island, but they changed their name when Blaine (who, again, was very young at the time) misspelled 'misery'. They notched up a few UK top 40 hits in the 00s including 'Two Doors Down' and 'The Boy Who Ran Away', and a string of successful albums including 2008's 'Twenty One' which went Silver. 2020 sees the release of their sixth album; 'A Billion Heartbeats'.

Jack Revill was made out of fluff, an old hair clip and a scratched old 7" record in the early 1980s when Mrs Revill was cleaning out the back of her old wardrobe with a brush. Jackmaster has constantly felt the silent call of black plastic noisy discs wherever he has roamed - and now shepherds his brethren around in cardboard boxes to record players far and wide whilst perfecting his art in many of Glasgow's dance music discotheques.

He mixes his deep love of Jamaican roots music with the sound of modern London bass culture. Crazy P Soundsystem
Seven albums, a career spanning over 20 years and yet Crazy P remain stronger and more relevant than ever. Funny how the tides of time turn, and how the sounds of a typically British type of house and disco are now more du jour then ever before. Way before the rise in prominence of disco, house and soulful pop Crazy P have spearheaded the revival (and perpetuation) of these sounds since 1997.

Suzie has always been obsessed with soul music and from a very young age showed quite an interest in gospel and the roots of soul/country music. She went to Gloucester Cathedral School Kings where she sang regularly in the Cathedral services, with solos to boot. A few years later she started doing gigs and began her spellbinding mission to turn heads while she sang. Since her arrival on the music scene she has been nicknamed ‘Aretha’ Suzie thanks to her powerful but sweet vocals. It's no surprise that Aretha Franklin is a huge influence along with Donny Hatherway, Chris Stapleton and Fleetwood Mac (to name a few).
