Never miss another 'Pist.On' show
Unfortunately this tour has been postponed. A statement from the band reads:
We regret that Pist.On have to reluctantly announce the postponement of our UK dates in June due to personal issues.
Unforseen problems beyond our control have arisen which we have only been able to partially resolve. The outcome is that we can only go ahead with our appearances at the Sweden Rock Festival and Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.
We try as much as possible not to let our personal circumstances interfere with Pist. On, but ultimately we all have responsibilities outside the band which we cannot afford to jeopardise.
Unfortunately the unexpected happens and we have to handle them the best we can. We fully understand that there are going to be many unhappy people -including ourselves- but we have to face reality.
Postponing the shows has been a really hard decision to make. We have received so much support from you the fans in so many ways and also from the people behind the scenes who have invested an immense amount of time, money and effort in setting the tour up.
There is no one more disappointed than the band itself and we are truly sorry for the upheaval that this will cause.
We offer our apologies to fans, promoters and the bands that were going to be joining us.
We are working on rescheduling the postponed shows. Information will be issued shortly for ticket holders to the shows.
This event takes place at O2 Academy Newcastle, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Pist.On is a heavy metal band from Brooklyn, New York. The band released two albums in the 1990s. Their male/female dual singer approach seemed a rather novel and unique idea at the time. Their background is somewhat shielded in pre-internet era mystery, but it is known that vocalist/guitarist Henry Font and bassist Val Ium befriended Type O Negative keyboardist Josh Silver, who helped to record their early 90s demos. The band split up in 2001, but announced a reunion in 2015 and began working on new material.
