Table Plays

Twelve ‘Table Plays’ will be performed in the New Vic bar before main-house performances and will invite audiences to enjoy a drink with a dragon, share a mum’s anxieties about a pavlova and hear a teenage girl’s view of the Hoard.

These five minute monologues have been created especially for the Hoard Festival by a mix of new and established writers, including Stoke-born April de Angelis (Jumpy, The Royal Court), comedian Isy Suttie (Peep Show), Lemn Sissay MBE, novelist Alan Garner, Staffordshire Poet Laureate Gary Longden, comedian Sara Pascoe and Tom Wells.
