A brilliant orchestra, one of the best loved of all violin concertos and one of Bach’s finest pieces. It is hard to think of a better way of spending a Saturday evening. Bradley Creswick is a superb violinist and ideally suited to the ravishing romantic swing of Bruch’s violin concerto and the evening is rounded off by Mendelssohn’s utterly charming first symphony completed when the composer was unbelievably only 15, a prodigy in the Mozart class!
