Matt Windle

Matt Windle – boxer, former Birmingham Poet Laureate, past winner of the Wenlock Poetry Slam, and mentor to to the first Shropshire Young Poet Laureate, Mia Cunningham – has returned to Wenlock to work with a group of students from William Brookes School to create this evening of poetry and music.

Watching Matt work with young people is a pure joy. He inspires them like no other poet, drawing out hidden creativity and encouraging confidence in the meekest of souls, so expect some dynamic performances during the show.

The students have also been working with artist Emily Wilkinson to design publicity materials for the evening. Come along and show your support!
