ATP Festival: The Dirty Three
This event has been and gone.
The ethos behind All Tomorrow's Parties is a truly unique one. In choosing a band to curate each festival, this year Australian lo-fi group The Dirty Three, the organisers can guarantee a festival like no other. Held at the Butlin's Holiday Centre in Minehead, ATP is a must for indie and alternative music fans. Plus, with chalets to camp out in instead of a muddy field, the risk of bad weather becomes blissfully unimportant. See www.atpfestival.com/ for further info.
Australian singer/songwriter Nick Cave is the lead singer of The Bad Seeds. Nick's music is mostly dark, introspective material with a magnetic allure, and emotional surrender to venomous black humour engaging a wide range of themes.
