David Patrick Octet

David Patrick’s stunning jazz reinterpretation of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring has received standing ovations at every performance since its premiere on 29 May 2013 – 100 years to the day from the premiere of the original production in Paris. Unique in featuring all of the main themes and orchestration, it seamlessly opens up into improvising sections featuring the members of the band. The programme is balanced out by a short set of original jazz compositions arranged for the octet.
