Microsoft Excel 2010 For Beginners

This practical course is an introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010.

It will provide hands on experience of many of the useful features of the software. The course is a beginners’ course and suitable for those who have little or no knowledge of Microsoft Excel and wish to get to grips with the basics of the software for home or business use.

In order to get the most out of the course you should be familiar with the Microsoft Office 2010 ribbon be able to navigate the software and know how to create, save and retrieve documents.

The course will cover:
Working with Workbooks and worksheets
Entering data
Formatting worksheets
Cell Alignment
Using formulae and functions
Creating charts
Printing documents
Filtering and sorting
Document views
Customising Excel
Linking with other Office software

Course requirements: Participants should be able to use a keyboard, a mouse and access the internet, files and folders.

Resources: A memory stick would be useful, plus pen and paper to make notes.
