Digital Photography - Landscape
Learn how to make the most from your camera and improve your landscape photography. This course is for those who have already completed the beginner’s course or who have an understanding of manual camera controls.
The workshop will concentrate on teaching the techniques needed to capture landscape images in the camera rather than relying on the computer afterwards. We will help you to develop your photographer's eye, explore and get the most from your camera to improve your techniques such as creative use of shutter speeds, apertures, choices of focal length, creative compositions, when and what filters to use. In addition we will consider the effect of time of day, weather conditions and their influence on the quality of light and ability to evoke changing moods.
The course will involve hands on practice with your camera and you will learn:
• Improve your compositional skills
• Create images with impact
• Master metering and camera technique
• Exposure (ISO, Apertures, shutter speeds)
• Depth of field
• Methods of composition
• Choices of focal length
• Correct use of filters
Course requirements: You will need to bring your Compact or Digital DSLR Camera, manual, cables for transferring images to the computer, a memory stick and if possible a tripod, although this is not essential.
