Digital Photography for Beginners

A practical course for beginners that focuses on getting the best results from your camera to create great photos. Learn how to use the automatic and manual functions on your camera effectively and apply these to improve your photos.

The course will cover:

• What each of the main camera settings does
• Photographic and camera principles including ISO, shutter speed, aperture and exposure
• Use of shooting modes, including shutter and aperture priority, plus manual mode
• How to freeze or blur motion | How to control depth of field and blur the background
• How to compose good photos and how to take better pictures
• Showing in low light using high ISO
• Image quality settings - jpeg and raw Upload and save images correctly
• How to create a contact sheet of your images taken on the day

Course requirements: You will need to bring your Compact or Digital DSLR Camera, manual, cables for transferring images to the compute, a memory stick and if possible a tripod, although this is not essential.
