Buying and Selling on Ebay

eBay is one of the most likely online resources for you to find what you're looking for and help you find a buyer for your unwanted items. This beginners course will give you a brief background and tips on deciding what to sell on eBay, how to set up an eBay and PayPal account, and how you can bid for items. In addition it will cover the importance of creating good item descriptions and taking good photos of your items, and encouraging loyalty and positive feedback that enhances your profile on eBay. We'll show you how to make and send payments or items for your eBay purchases or sales, and how to make the best use of eBay's seller's tools.

The course will cover:
Create your eBay and PayPal accounts and find out how to successfully use eBay for buying goods and also selling items | Learn how to use ‘My eBay’ and how the bidding process works. | List an item for sale and take a good photograph for showing your item to its potential | Find out about setting the starting price, eBay fees, postage costs and leaving feedback when the sale has been completed.

Course requirements: Participants should be able to use a keyboard, a mouse and access the internet, files and folders.

Resources required: Photos of any items you wish to sell on eBay, either on a memory stick or camera (if bringing a camera, learners must ensure they have all the correct cables to connect the camera to the computer).
