Tommy Poppers tells stories. He's queering the troubadour. By presenting themes of Gothic literary discourse; from Nietzsche via Kafka and Shelley to beyond, Tommy revels in the macabre to conjure contemplative moments.
Swansong is a collaborative piece, created in conjunction with Short Sighted Cinema, which articulates the metamorphosis of contemporary masculinities, through short-films, performance, live music and prose.
With musical accompaniment from artist Claire Orme, and visuals by Chris Wade and Nick Thompson - this event promises to be unique and not to be missed.
Swansong is presented at the Tom Thumb Theatre as part of Margate Pride fringe festival.
