Margate Soul Festival began in 2002 on the streets of the Original Seaside, Margate, with a sound system and an intimate crowd of soulful music lovers. Now, 17 years on, thousands of music fans from all over the world flock to Margate each August for a weekend of Sea, Sun and Soul!
No other festival in the UK offers such a ‘whole town’ experience for a dazzling weekend or just a day out. The picturesque streets of Margate Harbour, the Old Town, restaurants, cafes and multitude of independent shops and vintage emporiums overspill with good vibes whilst the main indoor and outdoor stages takes place at the iconic Margate Winter Gardens; a venue with over 100 years of tradition. Olby’s Soul cafe, the home and HQ of the festival, offers 3 rooms of music over the entire weekend commencing from 2:00pm Friday afternoon.
