Featuring

Mac DeMarco

Mac DeMarco appearing at this event

Combining a goofball public persona with a distinctive songwriting style and production sound, Canadian artist Mac DeMarco rose to the higher reaches of indie fame unexpectedly quickly. While his image projected a charmingly laid-back slacker prone to occasional antics and never taking anything too seriously, his songs have ironically often hid mature themes like aging, commitment, and morals under layers of chorus and reverb.

Yellow Days

Yellow Days appearing at this event

George van den Broek, aka Yellow Days, is a teenager hailing from the town of Haslemere, England who sings like a 300 year wizard and sits perfectly next to '70s soul greats. Traditional genre boundaries mean little to van den Broek, making his music a refreshing melting pot of jazz, indie, soul and beyond.

Tirzah

Tirzah appearing at this event

Tirzah Mastin pairs her down-to-earth vocals with the experimental productions of her friend Mica Levi. Rooted in UK garage, grime, and British R&B, the duo's collaboration evolved from the disarming dance-pop of 2013's underground hit 'I'm Not Dancing' to the raw R&B of her 2018 debut album, Devotion. Even as her sound changed, the intimacy and honesty of Tirzah's music remained.

Thurston Moore

Thurston Moore appearing at this event

Thurston Moore has been at the forefront of the alternative rock scene since that particular sobriquet was first used to signify any music that challenged and defied the mainstream standard. He is the founder of Sonic Youth, the band that turned on an entire generation to the value of experimentation in rock n' roll. From its influence on a nascent Nirvana, to Sonic Youth’s own Daydream Nation album being chosen by the US Library of Congress for historical preservation in the National Recording Registry in 2006, the band’s importance in rock history is undeniable.

Girl Ray

Girl Ray appearing at this event

North London female indie pop three-piece Poppy Hankin (vocals, guitar), Iris McConnell (drums) and Sophie Moss (bass) are Girl Ray, a band influenced by the old C86 Indie scene along with the more contemporary likes of Cate Le Bon. Formed when all three members were just the age of 16, they have created a sound mature beyond their years, with echoes of Nico meets The Beach Boys. "The influence of shambly 1990s indie such as Pavement and, most obviously, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci, is clear on their winningly gauche debut, but it stands in a longer line of British faux-naifs stretching back through Postcard Records and the Raincoats" - 4/5, The Guardian

Kirin J Callinan

Provocative and enigmatic artist Kirin J. Kallinan was previously a member of Mercy Arms, who previously toured with The Strokes, Pixies, Editors and The Horrors, before Callinan struck out on his own. His at times deranged and visceral live performances have divided opinion, but one thing’s for sure, it’s not likely to be something you’ll forget.

Blueprint Blue

Formed in 2013, united by a love of The Grateful Dead, Neil Young, and Jackson Browne, their manifesto is simple; beautifully crafted melodies, heartfelt story telling and a classic authentic sound. They have been championed by Tim Burgess of The Charlatans and James Hoare of Ultimate Painting, as well as receiving UK and international airplay and coverage. Discovered by Mairead Nash, manager of Florence and the Machine, who asked the band to play at her wedding, then promptly signed them to her Luv Luv Luv label.
