Mod All Star Band : The Mod All Star Band + Steve Ellis + Cliff Bennett + Lorraine Silver + New Amen Corner
"There is a massive resurgence of MOD culture in the UK and this show which is so much in vogue right now is based around the MOD era, featuring tracks from artistes such as The Small Faces & The Who. This goes hand in hand with the sound of Northern Soul which emerged from legendary venues such as The Wigan Casino & Manchester's Twisted Wheel.
For tickets call the Box Office:01623 633133."
Info provided by the Event Organiser
The exciting sound of The Mod All Star Band features blue eyed soul singer Steve Ellis, the original lead vocalist from Love Affair, R'n'B legend Chris Farlowe (or Cliff Bennett with his No 1 hit 'Got To Get You Into My Life' and 'One Way Love', who appears should Chris be unavailable), and Northern Soul icon Lorraine Silver. The musicians 'keeping the faith' are a six-piece band, including sax / hammond led by Saxman Frogman Curtis, producing all those authentic sounds. This show will keep you dancing all night long...a must for scooter festivals and soul clubs everywhere!

Steve Ellis was the original vocalist with Love Affair. Their string of hit singles, in the late 60's, brought them to the forefront of the music scene, at that time. After leaving the band, in late 1969, Steve and Zoot Money formed Ellis. They toured and recorded two albums, before disbanding, which lead Steve to become the vocalist in the hard rock band, Widowmaker. Following a gruelling tour of the U.S.A., Steve parted company with Widowmaker and embarked upon a solo career, that has continued to this day. He has recorded a number of albums, most of which, reflect his love of blues, soul and all the things that inspired him to want to sing, in the first place. Steve has maintained his status as a Mod figurehead and is one of the few remaining singers representing the first wave of Mod culture.

'60s pop/soul singer who made the big time with a cover version of the Lennon & McCartney's classic Revolver track 'Got To Get You Into My Life'.
Cliff Bennett tour dates
Lorraine Silver is a Northern Soul Legend. She made a record 'Lost Summer Love' when she was only 13 in the mid '60s. This song became iconic at the legendary Wigan Casino in the '70s without her knowing anything about it until 1988. It still a massive record on the Northern Soul & Scooter scene and is featured on numerous compilations and if you go to You Tube lots of sites have been set up by fans. The original recording is still in demand today with copies being sold on ebay for hundreds of pounds. She also has a whole page feature in the February edition of Scootering Magazine.

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair if you are going to a New Amen Corner concert because you''ll soon be in a 'Summer of Love' mood - their music is full of that feel good factor. The New Amen Corner have emerged in the last couple of years as the hottest band on the 60s circuit because of their ability to recreate so perfectly the sound and atmosphere of that era. Their power house live show has made them one of Europe's leading 60s revivalists.
