We have a stunning line up for our first event of 2025 featuring two of the top musicians in the country. We will be featuring Ben Waters and Derek Nash. Ben returns to the Red Lion as a result of popular demand. Not only is he a brilliant boogie-woogie pianist, he is also a great entertainer. Derek is one of the top saxophone players in the UK and as well as playing in his various own bands he is also a member of Jools Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. Derek will open the evening for us and then join with Ben for his set. This will be a fantastic evening of live music. We expect this event to sell out so please buy tickets in advance.

Young boogie woogie maestro playing jump blues, boogie and rock 'n' roll. This is hard hitting music at its best. Combining the music of his heroes (Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Amos Milburn etc) with cutting edge original material 'Quite simply the best boogie woogie piano player in this country today. Derek Nash
Derek Nash is a vibrant and charismatic performer on all 4 saxophones from Soprano to Baritone, Derek Nash is equally at home leading the award winning Jazz ensemble Sax Appeal to Funky Heights, or swinging his way to best CD of the year 2000 with Spike Robinson. He is regularly seen with the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and he has worked with musicians such as Eric Clapton, Sir Paul McCartney, Lulu, Jamie Cullum, Annie Lennox, and many more.
