Biospheric Studio: Greenhouse For The Future

Using aquaponic methodology, a futuristic ecological greenhouse has been created containing fish (tanks of carp) and plants (mint). The nutrient-rich waste from the fish feeds the plants, which are grown within pillars. This living installation is a live research project which generates raw data available for analysis by schools, colleges and the general public. It also raises questions about food production processes in built environments.
