The One Direction star goes solo, having signed to Capitol Records in the UK and Republic Records in the US, label home of Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. His personal life has also made headlines, since dating and splitting up with a certain Cheryl. Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned as a solo artist for the British television series The X Factor in 2008 with 'Fly Me to the Moon' by Frank Sinatra, then reauditioned in 2010, when he was put together with four other contestants, and the 1D story began.

One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson, began his career as an actor appearing in ITV drama film, 'If I Had You', and the BBC drama 'Waterloo Road'. In 2010 he became a member of One Direction after being eliminated as a solo contestant on The X Factor. It was during his six years with '1D' that Louis really honed his songwriting skills, helping lead them to sales exceeding 100 million records. These skills have allowed him to carry on performing solo since they went on their 'indefinite hiatus' in 2016. 'Just Hold On' was released as Tomlinson's debut single as a solo artist in December 2016, it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and was certified gold in both the UK and US.

Born in Malaga, raised in Spain and spending 10 years in Stockholm, soulful singer Mabel has finally placed her roots in London. Daughter of Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack producer Cameron McVey, she was raised in a home with a bass heavy recording studio. She started playing piano at the age of five, inspired by R&B and choreographing routines to Destiny’s Child and Lauryn Hill with her sister. As a teen she avoided the musical path of her parents but then enrolled to study production and music theory at college in Stockholm but later changed her mind, and in 2015 she released her debut single Know Me Better which became a BBC Radio 1 Track Of The Day. After bubbling around the lower regions of the charts, in 2019 she had her first UK top 5 single with 'Don't Call Me Up'.
