Into The Underworld
The RNCM Children’s Opera project brings together 180 children aged 10 and 11 from Manchester primary schools to create and perform a new opera, guided by a professional composer and supported by RNCM musicians. This Autumn’s production is based on Orpheus in the Underworld, a story of genius, loss and forbidden journeys, and the creative team will work with the children to create the opera, using their ideas to shape the music, the costumes and the set.
