Stories Of The Seas: Writing Workshops

The oceans and seas of the world are both beautiful and amazingly powerful. In this workshop, led by acclaimed poet and facilitator Mandy Coe, you can enjoy a short poetry performance exploring the seas and the important role they play in all our lives, and a creative writing workshop in which you can write your own 'sea story' - whether from your own memories or just pure imagination.

The interconnecting nature of the tides and seas is further explored in Tania Kovats’ sculptural exhibition Evaporation, on display in the 1830 Warehouse. It was created in response to scientist James Lovelock’s Gaia thesis, which explores the planet as a single super-organism and is celebrated by Cape Farewell’s annual Lovelock Art Commission.
