Manchester Cathedral Poetry Prize

Erotic and knowing, consumed with doubts or full of longing, these are just some of the themes of sacred poetry.

The winner of this year’s international, interfaith poetry competition will be announced at this celebratory event, featuring wide-ranging readings from the shortlisted poets and competition judge Kim Moore.

Kim’s first collection The Art of Falling was published in April 2015. She won a Northern Writers’ Award in 2014 and an Eric Gregory Trust Fund Award in 2011.

Her poem In That Year is shortlisted for the 2015 Forward Prize for Best Single Poem.
