The Human League 'Dare 40’
2021 will mark forty years since the release of Human League's DARE and, to celebrate, they will be performing the classic album in its entirety, as well as many other tracks from their extensive back catalogue, across arenas and theatres throughout December 2021.
They are also delighted to announce that they will be joined on the tour by the Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey (at selected dates) and Altered Images.
The Human League
Formed in the late 1970s by Sheffield-based computer programmers Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware, The Human League evolved into one of the seminal '80s electro pop bands. Fronted by former hospital porter, Philip Oakey, and featuring Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall, the band went on to record some of the most influential songs of the decade.

Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey
Formed in 1977, Thompson Twins had huge hits in the '80s with classics such as "You Take Me Up", "Doctor Doctor", "Hold Me Now" and "Love On Your Side". Disbanding in 1993, Tom Bailey now revisits the Thompson Twins classic hits and his other well- known songs in a show which revisits an era of electronic pop. Bailey has also worked in many different areas of music from the experimental electronics of Babble and Kolab to the Indo-fusion of the Holiwater Band, the visual astronomy project BSP and the sound-system dub of International Observer.

One of the brightest stars in the 80s new wave sky, Altered Images are best remembered for their no.1 single 'Happy Birthday'. Their bubbly lead singer Claire Grogan originally shot to fame in the film 'Gregory's Girl', then later went on to appear in 'Red Dwarf', 'EastEnders', 'Skins' and was a presenter on music station VH1. Altered Images continue to wow crowds at various 80's festivals around the country and in 2018 Cherry Red Records released a 4-CD box set of their complete recordings on the Epic label.
