Cuban Sundays

Returning this weekend we have the second in a series of workshops run by Christian Weaver of La Timbala Music. Each session explores a different aspect of Afrocuban music, from ‘songs and rhythms of the orishas’ to ‘Cuban popular music’, with some extended sessions with the bar open for a Rumba! This week we are learning about selected praise rhythms from the Oru Seco played on batá drums. Attendance to previous sessions is not necessary.
