WHAT TO EXPECT
1. Preparation Before the Event: You will receive a digital resource pack before you go, including:
- A digital score of the "Nelson" Mass
- Line-by-line recorded teaching sessions for each voice part
- Learning tracks with your voice part louder, sung by professionals
These resources support singers of all levels, whether you're learning from scratch or refreshing your knowledge.
2. A Day of Singing and Learning: On the day, Ben England will lead workshops on vocal technique and interpretation, accompanied by concert pianist Dr Ana England. We’ll work through the choral sections of the Mass in a supportive, friendly environment, with opportunities to connect with fellow singers.
3. Early Evening Concert Performance: After rehearsals, we’ll perform the "Nelson" Mass with soloists. This informal concert, open to family and friends free of charge, showcases your hard work.

Choir of the Earth Events
Choir of the Earth Events offers exciting come-and-sing experiences for choral music lovers of all levels. Our team has led successful tours across the UK and Ireland, including Handel's Messiah in 2022/23 and Mozart's Requiem in 2023/24, as well as a memorable event in Salzburg in 2024. We also host ad hoc events, such as 24-hour singing marathons and performances of Mendelssohn's Elijah and Vivaldi's Gloria. Singers prepare in advance using our world-class learning resources, which include detailed teaching videos by world-renowned and sought-after conductor Ben England that cover every line of each choral movement, and rehearsal tracks professionally recorded for each vocal part. These resources allow singers to thoroughly learn the music and become familiar with Ben’s conducting style. On the event day, participants join choral masterclasses and rehearsals, culminating in a spectacular evening performance conducted by Ben. This preparation builds confidence, making each performance vibrant and unforgettable.
