Manchester Mid-Day Concerts
Jonathan and Bretton demonstrate their imagination and versatility with an intriguing combination of French and American music. The Barber sonata (written when he was only 19) is a big, heart-on-the-sleeve, romantic work, and the Fauré is much more refined and elusive. It will be fascinating to hear how this music works in juxtaposition.
