Bright Eyes was founded by guitarist/vocalist Conor Oberst in 1998 and it wasn't long until the band's country-led folk, spiced with an experimental, DIY edge, saw them quickly become a highly revered musical outfit. 2005's 'I'm Wide Awake It's Morning' gained them critical acclaim and featured collaborations with the likes of Emmylou Harris, M Ward and Ben Kweller. After a 9 year hiatus, Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott announced their return in 2020. Nearly three decades into their career, the tight-knit band of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott tends to operate in distinct sweeping movements: each unique in its sound and story but unified by a sense of ambition and ever-growing emotional stakes.
