Young Musicians Week
Brighter Sound presents Young Musicians Week, a five-day songwriting and production residency for 13 to 18 year olds.
Explore music, record, develop skills and collaborate in a week of workshops, masterclasses and 1-to-1 sessions this February half term. We’re delighted to welcome guest artists including Elbow’s drummer Jupp, guitarist Natalie McCool, former BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Jenna G and producer Burgaboy for an exciting programme for all young musicians.
Develop your vocal technique in a 1-to-1 session with expert tutor Yvonne Shelton
Brush up on your guitar skills in a masterclass with Natalie McCool, one of the North West’s most exciting musicians
Take part in a group drumming tutorial with Jupp, drummer for the Mercury Music Prize winning band Elbow
Get the inside know-how on making it in the music industry from Drum and Bass vocalist and former BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Jenna G
Work on your songwriting and recording skills and with musician Liam Frost
Book a slot at Band on the Wall’s state of the art recording studio with resident producer Burgaboy
Join Manchester’s collective Inna Voice for a workshop and masterclass focused on lyricism and spoken word.
Explore a new genre of music with psychedelic folk-singer songwriter Avital Raz
