Let's Do This Together: A Manchester Xmas Print Fair & 2022nq Christmas Party

Salford Zine Fair / Generic Greeting Collective will take residency at 2022NQ to hold an alternative Xmas print fair, for all to enjoy this festive season.

The venue will host a wide range of stalls and freshly produced work from Generic Greeting Collective, one of Manchester's leading pioneering creative collectives, alongside a variety of other Manchester designers, illustrators and print makers, including original prints and lo-fi creative efforts for sale. Additional stalls include Salford Zine Fair, Harrison Clark, Levi Edwards, Danny Gunn, Robert Shadbolt & Mrs P, and many more.

Live art performances and workshops will also take place throughout the evening, giving visitors the opportunity to learn how to make a lino print or mono print to take home with them or pick up a new skill and learn how to book bind.

The fair will also feature four short film screenings, produced by Liam Healy and Sing J Lee (Generic Greeting Collective). 'CULTS' is an abstracted look at the seductiveness of reality television, exploring its rituals, routines and the act of voyeurism itself and ‘Solace’ focuses on Charlie, the film's protagonist, as we join him on his struggle with narcissism and anxiety in life.

'FLUX' is unique film that will involve the audiences perception of the events unfolding, whilst it playfully exposes the subtle differences between the film’s two main characters, lovers, Edward and Lyra and ‘First the Bird Fell’ follows the journey of a prying reporter who seeks an interview from the former champion, now recluse John Kelly.

The 2022NQ official Christmas party will commence later in the evening, making this a doubly festive affair, with music from Generic Greeting Collective, El Diablo Social Club, Funkademia, and a selection of the northern quarter's finest deck maestros. Winter warming food, edible treats and drinks will be on sale throughout.
