The Hermitage Ensemble

Five male soloists accompanied only by each other's voices. The programme includes Russian Orthodox religious pieces such as Bortnyansky's Praise the Lord from the Heavens. The rich tapestry of the Russian Folk tradition is also expressed, in a variety of exuberant and melancholy melodies. Between them, the ensemble have performed with St Petersburg Philharmonic and Leningrad State Academic Choir, and toured across Europe.
