Classic Midland's folk rock band Quill play Lowdham Village Hall for the first time with a great new show! It features an eclectic mix of stylish covers, some from Bev's past with quirky interpretations of Blackberry Way, Telephone Line, Dont Bring Me Down and Heaven and Hell, original numbers and Quill standards.
A Quill set takes you on a journey through an unexpectedly wide range of powerful story telling material, the songs are delivered with imagination and lyrical beauty, all shot through with the presence and ease that only real stage craft can bring. Its not easy to sum up Quill in a few words, but when you draw on deep diverse musical sources and when long lifetimes of experience inform your stage craft and presentation, wonderfully interesting things can and do happen.
If you're not already a fan of Quill, you will be after what promises to be a superb night of music.
Celtic pop rock band - 'arguably the busiest Midlands based touring group' - fronted by two very attractive fiddle playing lasses. Over the past four decades Quill have reinvented themselves a number of times and they are about to do it once again! Their strong vocal harmonies and the artistry of violin and guitar is a key feature of their music. Quill not only captivate and entertain, but also offer a moving, yet truly dynamic and varied show equal to any first-class act, and will include additional guest artists and musicians. 'Quill have continued to perform their outstanding brand of folk rock over the last four decades' (Tony Collins, Birmingham Evening Mail).
