This event has been and gone.
It's been said many times that Fortuna POP! couldn't organise a p**s-up in a brewery. Well, they're here to tell you you're wrong!
They've put together an amazing day of music for Stow Festival’s Indie Alldayer, with bands playing everything from folk-pop to Riot Grrrl, many of course connected to E17! And it's all taking place in Walthamstow's very own craft beer heaven, The Wild Card Brewery.
What's more it's completely FREE to get in!
The Drink are Dearbhla Minogue (singing, guitar), David Stewart (bass) and Daniel Fordham (drums). The songs are influenced by American, English and Irish folk songs. They belong to a world where The Mamas and the Papas signed to 4AD and Joanna Newsom formed a guitar band. They play odd guitar pop with a dark folk undertone, and have been compared to Deerhoof, The Breeders, Talking Heads, Kate Bush, Throwing Muses. They formed in late 2012 when Dearbhla lived above the practice room where London poppost- rockers Fighting Kites rehearsed. She took advantage of their untimely split by recruiting Daniel and David as rhythm section for The Drink.
