Tim Garland

In his 50th birthday year, saxophonist and composer Tim Garland plays a string of world premieres for the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Tim has toured the world with Chick Corea since the great pianist recognised his talent 17 years ago, and for this concert he plays his new arrangements of great pieces by Chick, such as Crystal Silence, and material Tim played with Chick many times around the world.

Stan Getz’s underground hit Focus of 1961 has never been performed in the UK, and in this concert Tim will premiere Re-Focus, his own suite created as a response to Stan Getz’s personal favourite release.
