An evening of music and stories from a master storyteller from London and a master musician from Senegal.

The beautiful Museum Of Curiosities, Mare Street, Hackney, is replete with the stuffed heads of majestic animals. They observe you resignedly from the walls and small wonder! It’s so limiting being dead!

But you should hear the stories of their youth, or what they got up too in their prime! And on this magical night you can! Master storyteller Giles Abbott, joined by the virtuoso musician and singer Kadialy Kouyate, whose family have been storytellers and musicians since the 13th Century, bring you rollicking, rumbustious stories from Aesop and from the Senegalese tradition, with singing and dazzling kora playing, and tonight the stuffed heads will speak!
