Following much success of his own show on Channel Four – The Last Leg – originally a one-off series for the 2012 London Paralympics, he is passionate about supporting other disabled comedians to break down barriers and challenge negative attitudes.
There are 13 million disabled people in Britain, that’s 21% of the population. Yet disabled people remain hugely underrepresented on our screens and in the public eye. This is no laughing matter – it’s time for it to change.
The ambitions, talent and potential of disabled people need to be recognised.
