Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band

Michael Head is the leader of Shack & The Pale Fountains.

He returns to play a rare London show at the Union Chapel – his first in over six years – bringing with him The Red Elastic Band featuring Andy Diagram (The Pale Fountains/James) on trumpet, Pete Wilkinson (Shack) on bass, Sam Christie on drums, Danny Rogers on guitar and Martin Smith on trumpet.

Michael Head writes songs of such complex simplicity; kitchen sink situations featuring snap shots of fascinating everyday characters; songs of hope, despair and no regret. Songs with their feet firmly fixed in their roots in Kensington in Liverpool with their souls free to roam universal.

Michael famously attained legendary status when the NME acclaimed him as our Greatest Songwriter on their front cover.

Playing songs from a range of Head’s flawless back catalogue, the band have no other live shows scheduled.
