On September 19th, join the Bloody Good family for an extra special evening maxi-packed full of menstrual centred comedy, hosted by Jen Brister for Bloody Good Period.

Join Felicity Ward, Josie Long, Sophie Duker, Bridget Christie, Rosie Jones, Rose Matafeo, Ingrid Dahle and Jess Fostekew at Union Chapel for an evening full of stand-up that’ll make you Leak Out Loud. Tell your pals, bring your pads and get ready for an evening full of all thing’s menstruation.

All funds raised help to support Bloody Good Period, an organisation created to tackle period poverty in the UK through supplying period products to asylum seekers, refugees and those who can’t afford them.

Bridget Christie has been a regular on the sketch and stand-up circuit for the last 5 years. She was a finalist in the Funny Women Final 2004, nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2005, won the inaugural Funny Women Best Show Fringe Award 2007 and was nominated for the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act 2009. Bridget appeared in the second series of The Omid Djalili show on BBC1 and on Andy Zaltman's Radio 4 Series, Andy Zaltzman's History of the Third Millennium Series 1 of 100. She is most well-known in Australia for her work on Network Ten's The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, and her regular guest appearances on ABC's Spicks and Specks and 7's Thank God You're Here. With her infectious laugh and high energy Rosie Jones brings 'huge laughs' (Chortle) and has quickly become a must-see act on the comedy circuit. The ex-television researcher was awarded second place in the Leicester Mercury's New Comedian Of The Year 2018, and has already starred on 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Last Leg: The Correspondents. With seemingly no end to her talents, Rosie is also an incredible actor, making her primetime debut as Serena in a Silent Witness two-part special.

Rose Matafeo

Rose Matafeo is a New Zealand-based comedian and TV presenter. Rose started stand-up at the age of 15 and has since staged five solo shows as part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. In 2010 she won Best Newcomer at the NZICF (New Zealand International Comedy Festival), and went on to win the prestigious Billy T Award (2013). Rose has also featured on the 2014 and 2015 NZ International Comedy Gala and has opened for Reggie Watts in both New Zealand and the UK. Rose is a regular face on TV screens having appeared on Have I Got News For You (BBC 1) in the UK, while in New Zealand Rose is the head writer and star of Funny Girls (TV3) and a regular on panel show 7 Days (Three Now NZ). She has also written and starred on New Zealand comedy show Jono And Ben At Ten (TV3, NZ) where she interviewed the likes of Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Bill Hader, and Amy Schumer. Rose has acted in Liam Williams’ web series Pls Like (BBC Three) and starred in an episode of Tom Craine’s Climaxed (BBC Three). “A blizzard of youthful energy in one of the Fringe’s most memorable comedy debuts” (Guardian). “The whole thing feels as fresh and invigorating as an ice-cold bottle of Steinlager.
