The event has become a mainstay of the capital’s cultural calendar and showcases the best of Canadian music, sport, art, culture, tourism, business, food and drink to Londoners, Canadians and other visitors from all around the world.
There will be plenty of activities throughout the 8th annual Canada Day in London, as this year promises to cater to everyone.
Then there is the excitement of sports throughout the day! Canadian’s gather together to showcase their hockey skills, as street hockey tournaments run throughout the day on the square. The James R Wright
road hockey tournament is back again with eight teams competing for the Trafalgar Cup.
The festival will also feature a lululemon yoga class, face painting for the kids and an appearance by Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
By the evening, attendees will have been treated to an array of Canada’s best musical talent. Jann Arden, Arkells and The Tragically Hip will perform in one of London’s best loved spaces.

Possibly the hottest band in Canada right now, Saskatewan's The Sheepdogs beat 15 other bands to win Rolling Stones 'Choose The Cover competition in 2011, appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, performed at the Bonnaroo Music Festival as well The Osheaga Festival in Montreal, and are now signed with Atlantic Records.
The Sheepdogs remember the importance the other elements, aside from the riff, that make for great rock music: melody, harmony and groove. To see them live is pure rock and roll jubilation, to revel in the splendor created by three part vocal harmonies and heavy hitting dual guitar leads

USS are Ash Boo-Schultz (vocals/guitars) Jason ‘Human Kebab’ Parsons (hype/turntables), two Canadians playing progressive, deeply danceable music, inspired by scientific discovery. They have already won two CASBY Awards, as well as a Canadian Independent Music Award for Favourite Group of the Year.
"Not only does this duo create intelligent, catchy drum and bass songs, but they also put on an unmatched stellar live performance. Perhaps this is because their influences derive from atypical sources, including a shared love of knowledge and science that stems from early encounters with the unconventional. Mark my words; Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker are
going to be huge."
"Labels clamor after them; radio across the country jumps on board the single. More and more people subscribe to their theory to “Expect the unexpected”. That’s the story of how
science meets spirit. Bob Marley in a lab coat? Welcome to USS and the soundtrack of possibility."
