Formed in December 2018, The Institutes have blazed onto the UK underground music scene on their terms releasing their highly-acclaimed debut album Colosseums in 2021. Hailing from Coventry, the four-piece have built a solid and loyal following for their addictive and mesmerising tunes. The band?s musical output is too eclectic to pigeonhole, but wears its influences proudly, sitting somewhere between shoegaze and indie rock, with a nod in the direction of Fleetwood Mac?s harmonies and The Byrds? psychedelic jangles.
SIRACUSE, purveyors of big beat indie psychedelia, drenched in reverb, with driving bass lines and distorted guitars. While reminiscent of Kasabian, The Music, early Oasis, Verve, and The Jesus and Mary Chain, they add their own modern take on that sound. Their tunes feature echoed vocals twinned with big choruses, with a strong nod to pioneer shoegaze bands. SIRACUSE?s new single ?Simple Pleasures? is one of the best releases of 2024.
The Oliver Shaw Experience has been performing at some iconic venues in and across London, the UK, and France. Including a residency at The Dublin Castle, and Truskel Club in Paris. Their influences range anywhere from Nirvana, Radiohead, The Beatles, R.E.M. The Smiths, The Doors, The Strokes, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Fat White Family to artists such as John Lennon, Serge Gainsbourg.
Coventry?s Sons of Rest will open the night with their ?90s influenced indie. If you are a fan of The Verve and The la?s this band are for you!
Drawn together by music that is as eclectic as it is themed, The Institutes are a thoughtful and innovative quartet. Melodic, energetic, peaceful and furious in their exploration of love, life and the social structures that bind us as much as they divide us. The Institutes seek textures in their hooks and rhythm in their wrath. Drawing from the traditions of English sounding melodic guitar based bands, their set is front-loaded with the most creative songs, but the entire track listing stays sincere. Moments feel appropriately urgent, whilst almost immediately becoming intimate and brazenly honest. The Institutes exist in a place that is built on factories, dirt and hard work however when they shine it's like looking directly at the sun.

Former Garage Flowers bass ace now in critically acclaimed solo mode. Think echoes of Kurt Cobain but with a trad Brit folk slant. All manner of great stuff coalesces in Oliver’s fertile musical back yard, from psych to blues to twisted soul and experimentally hinged alt rock.
