Join VAULT recidivist Richard Marsh (Wingman, Dirty Great Love Story, Love & Sweets) for work-in-progress performances of his new sitcom in which he plays Will, a poet forced to scrape a living writing rhymes for greetings cards.

Will joined greetings card firm Rogue Elephant, thinking one year of work would set him up to write the Great Poetry Collection of our times. That was five years ago. The day job has become the job. Will has turned his vocation into a 9 to 5.

Will is surrounded by ‘Beast’, a loose cannon salesman; Colin aka Colon, a safety-obsessed numbers man; Goadsby, his nemesis (in charge of artwork, she is in a constant battle with wordsmith Will) and his lothario boss Rufus. Paid to express emotions for people he will never meet, Will consistently fails to express himself to anyone he does meet.

Each week Richard and a rotating cast will perform two episodes of this brand new show. Based on the audience response, Richard will then rewrite ready for next week’s show. Come and watch new characters being born. Watch unfunny ones die. Whoop as Richard writes himself out of his own show*.

Episode listings will appear on the Vault website as the festival goes on, but Week 1 will feature episodes 1 and 2, and Week 3 will be episodes 3 and 4. Please note each episode is self-contained, so you don’t have to have seen one set of shows to see the others. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t see them all. In fact, you really should because they’ll be great.
