Uusikuu, Justice In Motion

Nordic London 2017 parties the night away with the Finnish-German tango band Uusikuu and Justice In Motion physical theatre company who visit us from Oxford to perform their highly original 2017 collaboration Kaiho // the state in between.

Uusikuu takes you on a sepia-tinted musical journey with stories and melodies of heartbreak and hope. An evening with Uusikuu is like a live soundtrack to a Kaurismäki film. Or like an emotional rollercoaster coated in wodka-infused cotton candy.... Justice in Motion provides the dance to their tango.

KAIHO // the state in between is their joined production for Finland's centenary year 2017. It combines contemporary dance with live vintage music, to explore reasons for leaving to another country, challenges of settling into a new culture, and how parallel cultural identities evolve over time.
