We were thrilled when Russell Brand offered to highlight the issue and raise funds to help tackle the problem. It's a perfect use of his celebrity profile to front the Give It Up for Comic Relief gig and work behind the scenes to put it all together. He has played a blinder."

Ebullient, unpredictable and sincere comic who is just as likely to play a village hall in Scotland as a mainstream venue, 'cos he can! It was back in the late '90s when, alongside Julian Barratt, Noel brought to life Howard Moon and Vince Noir in the upstairs room of a North London pub. The Mighty Boosh made their Edinburgh Festival debut in 1998 winning the coveted Perrier Award for Best Newcomer.
Despite his huge success as one half of The Mighty Boosh, 'the funniest comedy double act in Britain' (NME), Noel has continually worked on his solo projects. In January 2012 the first series of his kaleidoscopic character comedy
show Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy aired on E4. Half live action, half animated, the series introduced us to some brand new characters including, among others, New York cop Sergeant Raymond Boombox, modern day Don Quixote Fantasy Man and Roy Circles, an anthropomorphic chocolate finger with shell shock.
Noel's additional television credits include The IT Crowd and Nathan Barley as
well as appearances in Doll And Em, How Not to Live Your Life, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace and Surrealissimo: The Trial of Salvador Dali. He also co-presented Comic Relief Does Top Of The Pops alongside Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates and has appeared as guest team captain on The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year. Having first appeared as a panellist on the show, Noel has also been a team captain on the last four series of the long running music show, Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

'A Gothic George Best' (Phill Jupitus).

'Simon Amstell has a gift for taking a social norm and gently mocking it until it
seems utterly ridiculous. Highly literate... an endearing mixture of offhanded
candour and sharp wit. Such ease and understatement makes him very good company' (The New York Times)
'Existential questions with belly laughs...Comedy is rarely as smart or adventurous as this' (Chortle)

A glorious synth-tinged melting pot of indie rock that will caress the eardrums. Formed in Leicester while still at school, they took their name from Linda Kasabian, one of the members of the Charles Manson cult. Their electronica-indie rock fusion akin to Primal Scream combined with the rough vocal style and unrepentant Mancunian swagger of Oasis has firmly established them as more than just a flash in the pan and injected a large dose of energy back into the Brit-rock scene.

Needing no introduction, Noel is best known as the guitarist, occasional singer and songwriting backbone of Oasis. Since Oasis split, Noel released a highly successful debut eponymous solo album in 2011, under the guise of the High Flying Birds, taking the name from the song 'High Flying Bird' by Jefferson Airplane and as a homage to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. It became the second biggest-selling rock album of 2011 in the UK, behind Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto', and several critics felt it was his best work since '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' His second release, 'Chasing Yesterday' in 2015, reached no.1 on the UK album chart.

But that was just the beginning of a journey that would see Jessie become the first British woman in history to take six top ten singles from one album and never mind that it was her first outing.
While her multi-octave voice and self-made attitude has earned Jessie J the respect of music's glitterati; from Kylie to Justin Timberlake commenting 'Who is the best singer? Jessie J!', to Cyndi Lauper pulling her on stage at Shepherds Bush to sing her legendary anthem 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' alongside her.
