The Country Soul Sessions would like to invite you to a special evening of R&B, Jazz, Doo Wop, Rock 'N' Roll and of course some Country Soul ?? ? ? ? ?
Aisha Khan and Her Rajahs
We are delighted that ?FOLC' recording artist Aisha Khan and her Rajahs will be returning to the Country Soul in December. With influences ranging from Jazz, Blues, Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Doo Wop and Rock 'N' Roll it's fair to say that Ms Khan can sing pretty much anything she has a mind to. Fronting her crack band of top musicians aka the Rajahs, Aisha is in equal parts sultry Jazz chanteuse and Rhythm and Blues 'belter'. This year saw the release of her extremely well received ?The Magnificent Twelve? (FOLC Records, 2024) long player, an ambitious collaborative affair with 12 top notch contemporary artists all backed by her fabulous Rajahs that plays and sounds like a labour of love. Don?t miss Aisha and Her Rajahs and expect to hear fine original material mixed with memorable covers all wrapt up in a bygone era of glamour and sophistication.

The Moonlight Sirens
We are pleased to announce that the bewitching The Moonlight Sirens will be making their CSS debut at the December Session. A unique, all-female five-piece outfit the Moonlight Sirens play songs from the 1920s right through to the 1960s. Combing sass, sophistication and just a hint of sleeze their repertoire includes forgotten classics from the likes of Joyce Green, Julia Lee, Margie Mills and Mamie Bradley alongside more recognised numbers from Ella Mae Morse, Esther Phillips and Ruth Brown. Siren lead singer Patsy Dee has assembled a group of talented newcomers comprising Karolina Zdziarska on lead guitar, Nicole Ricardo on rhythm guitar, bongos & harmonies, Tomika Mitchell on bass and Meredith Brown on drums & backing vocals. Come and see them do what they do?.
