Laughing Horse New Act of the Year Winner in 2010.
'Deane's well timed deadpan delivery was on cue every time, he'll definitely be one to watch' (Medway News)
'A particularly nice line in understated pay-offs' (Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard)
'Well written gags, well executed one liners' (Chortle)
'... he's able to generate a stream of seriously good gags, the kind of quick,
sharply written and endlessly repeatable lines that'll always keep a comic in work and an audience richly entertained' (The Guardian)
'It's just a matter of time before Julian Deane gets a boost up the comedy rankings... His trick is to make you think you're watching standard stand-up fare, then twisting expectations with sharp, original punchlines' (The Independent).

Damian is a stand-up comic from Rye near Hastings. He started out performing comedy in Tokyo, where he was working as an English teacher, translator and magazine columnist. He returned to England in 2008 and was a finalist and runner up in several national new act competitions.
Since then he has appeared at many established comedy clubs including The Comedy Store, Banana Cabaret, Komedia, The Glee Club, The Stand, Jongleurs, Comedy Cafe, Up the Creek, Soho Comedy Club and the Kings Head. He’s also a keen festival goer, performing regular work-in-progress shows at Leicester, Brighton and Edinburgh fringes prior to his first full hour solo show, Knock Knock, in 2016 which will be performed on the Knock Knock Tour for Shelter and showcased at the Edinburgh Fringe 2016 with proceeds also going to Shelter.

Romesh burst onto the comedy circuit in 2010, gigging regularly at top venues all over the country. As well as turning in storming turns on a regular basis, he has also found time to reach the Latitude New Act Final 2010, The So You Think You're Funny? Final 2010 as well as coming runner up in The Amused Moose Laugh Off 2010.
In 2015 Romesh starred in his own show called 'Asian Provocateur' (BBC Three) where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country. In 2016 the second series 'Mum's American Dream' was commissioned.
He has forged a fearsome reputation with a set that combines cutting one liners with an acerbic take on the world around him.
'Extraordinarily hilarious' (Three Weeks)
'Plenty to enjoy in his ultra sardonic set' (Chortle)
'His ability to write bitingly fresh gags marks him out from the crowd... Ranganathan's punchlines are sharper and funnier than many of his peers' (The Guardian).
Romesh Ranganathan was named in Ents24's top 5 hardest-working comedians of 2016.
