Dylan, the name her parents would have called her if she were a boy, was “brought up on pure rock n’ roll” as a child. Weaned on AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith, she admits that she “fully trained, in my dad’s eyes, to be a proper rock god by the time I was 11”. Having already taught herself piano and guitar, it was at that age that she formed her first band and started writing her own songs.
