"A Love Supreme remains one of the most significant works in jazz history, influencing countless musicians across genres."
One of the greatest records to emerge from John Coltrane's sprawling discography, A Love Supreme is unlike anything else the great saxophonist wrote.
The album mirrors Coltrane's spiritual quest that grew out of his personal troubles, including a long struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. Structured as a suite and delivered in praise of God, everything about it is designed for maximum emotional impact.
London’s finest jazz musicians come together to play Coltrane’s defining album in full, plus some of his most popular songs.
This event is not in association with John Coltrane.
Kaidi Akinnibi
A young artist hailing from London, Kaidi’s sound is influenced by the many sounds new and old to come out of its vibrant music scene. His musical journey has seen him create and write with artists such as Tom Misch, Black Midi, Blue Lab Beats, Celeste, Wizkid, DoomCannon, and many more. His own music, more vocal orientated, takes from Shoegaze rock and electronic production sounds amongst his other influences in Jazz and Classical music, to create soundscapes reminiscent of a movie soundtrack.
