To round off the second annual BopFest jazz festival, for the first time ever in the UK, this classic recording is brought back to life, featuring the original arrangements of Marty Paich and his band of eleven jazz musicians all prominent on the West Coast in the late 1950s. The original album highlights the talents of one of the finest West Coast altoists, Art Pepper, with whom Paich collaborated in both quartet form and this larger ensemble.

This project to bring these outstand arrangements to life, has brought together some of the UK's finest exponents of the West Coast style from this era and features Allison Neale in the role of Art Pepper on alto, a saxophonist well regarded for her devotion to the melodic West Coast approach in her own playing, and Robert Fowler, who will be performing as Art on the tenor sax and clarinet, with an all-star band featuring many of the musicians who've performed over the BopFest week.
