industry touchstone Chortle recently asked yours truly for an act set to smash 2019 and I picked Laura cos she's smart and sharp and bloody funny and won a bunch of awards in Australia, has a TV script set to steamroll both sides of the Atlantic and won't be performing on stages this little for much longer
the creator of one of last year's most talked about shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, a comedians' and critic's favourite. Garrett got glowing four star from the Sunday Times, Times, Scotsman and everyone else, and a four and a half from comedy bible Chortle calling it "a virtuoso display of unforgivingly grumpy stand-up delivered with fire in his soul"
former BBC New Comedian of the Year and utterly brilliant joke-weaver

Australian-born and now London-based, Bec has gained a cult following in Australia, the UK and Ireland thanks to her award-winning solo shows. She has a talent for incorporating arts and crafts into her stand-up routines, creating a unique and unforgettable comedy style that she calls “paper-puppetry”. Her one-liners regularly feature in “best joke” lists by “reputable” sources like The Telegraph, Dave, The Guardian, The Independent, Daily Record and Buzzfeed, which isn’t surprising, as she is the creator of the UK’s only pun-based comedy night, Pun Run. ‘Bec Hill and her side-splittingly funny stand-up routine are a joy to behold… you’ll fall in love with Bec’s excitable attitude and her witty optimism. Definitely a name to remember with a smile’ (Three Weeks Edinburgh). ‘Multi-talented with brilliant observational material’ (The Stage).

Garrett Millerick is a London based writer, director and comedian. A regular on the stand up circuit, Garrett can be seen up and down the country in a variety of guises but mostly as himself, saying what he thinks about things in pubs/ theatres/regional art centres and the occasional music festival. He can be seen performing regularly at The Schadenfreude Cabaret in North London where he is the resident compere. 'Millerick is a belter of a new comedian, well worth shouting about' (The Stage) '... avoided cliche and made contentious points convincingly, though all in the name of a laugh rather than setting out any serious manifesto... Storytelling is clearly in Millerick's genome...a solidly enjoyable way to see out the midnight hour' (Chortle). 'Undeniably honest and hilarious' (Three Weeks).

Not the late star of British World War 2 classic The Dambusters, but winner of the Amused Moose Laugh Off 2012. '... A smart surrealist...' (The Independent) '... He delivers with the passion of an insane preacher, and there's a keen off-the-wall wit throughout...' (Steve Bennet, Chortle) 'With his enthusiasm and ingenious thinking he has the ability to play with the audiences imaginations, leaving them both pleasantly baffled and amused' (Funhouse Comedy).
